Colin Cross
Chief Executive Officer, Graphic Designer, Tutor, PerformerOriginally from South Africa, Colin now calls New Zealand home. Colin wants to make a difference, to bring people together, help build stronger communities and has a strong belief that circus arts can be instrumental in this goal. Colin has degrees in both the Fine arts and Design, he has worked as an artist, in the printing industry and in 2008 founded his own graphic design studio. Colin brings these skills, and his passion for design and arts to The Flying Kiwi Circus. He has a particular interest in Acro-balance, Rope walking, the Aerial arts and Clowning.
Mike Hines
Chief Financial Officer, Tutor, PerformerCanterbury born and bred, Mike has extensive experience in the performance and tutoring of magic and allied arts and is generally found with a pack of cards close by. With a B.Com in Finance/Public Management, Mike is responsible for the Finances and Governance of The Flying Kiwi Circus in his role as Chief Financial Officer. While his tutoring specialises in Acro-balance, Juggling and the currently-in-development Flying Kiwi Circus School of Magic.
Stacey Morrell
Fitness Consultant, Quater Master, Tutor, PerformerStacey graduated from Wellington Polytechnic with a Diploma in Exercise Science. Being a qualified fitness consultant and personal trainer he enjoys applying his knowledge of Exercise to Circus activities.
He spent 9 years as a youth leader/instructor with the City of Porirua Army Cadets where he rose to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer. Teaching Army related skills some of which included leadership, team work and Physical Training.
At the age of 13 years old he attained his 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and loves trying out other martial arts when he can.
He has a love for Magic and has been involved with Magic for the last 4 years and is currently the secretary/treasurer of the Canterbury Society of Magicians.
He has a particular interest in Tumbling, Globe Walking, Juggling and Acro-balance.
